ART & ATHLETES
Creating an interdisciplinary artwork
with visual art, film, music, and athletes.
We are looking for supporters and sponsors for this project.
Creating an imapct for the future generation.
Nowerdays, social media and influencers have a huge impact on our lives. While they can serve as role models, we should not forget the hardworking and successful Swiss athletes and musicians, who, despite their successful achievements, are often overlooked due to their low media presence. We should focus on promoting the voices of Swiss athletes and musicians and establish them as role models for the next generation. It is our responsibility to shape the upcoming generation and strengthen their voices.
My goal in this first Art & Athletes edition is to use abstract art to draw attention to the essence of individual athletes. This project will be realized by an interdisciplinary young team from the Zurich area. Athletes, musicians, mediamaticians, and artists from Switzerland come together to create a masterpiece.
The collaboration results in an abstract work of art, which represents the character traits of the athlete. This is filmed and combined with the filming of the athlete. The whole film project is an independent work of art, which will be accompanied by a composition from Luc van Doornick a young pianist from Zurich. The film part will be released over the year 2023/2024. An overall exhibition of the artwork as well as the films is planned for September 2024. To put the composition also in the foreground, I would like to organize a concert in synergy with the film.
